Received MD from 1st Leningrad
Medical Institute in 1985. In 1993 received honor degree in
Family Medicine - Jordan Board. In 1994 held the position
of Director of Family Practice Training Programme at the Ministry
of Health. In 1995 held the position of Chief of Family Physicians.
In 1996 received a high Diploma in Community Medicine from
Jordan University affiliated with the WHO. In 1997 received
a Master degree in Public Health from Jordan University of
Science and Technology.
1997 to 1998 worked as a Director
of both a Family and Community Medicine Programmes in the
MOH, where mainly lectured in the field of Primary Health
Care and research methodology and continued work as a clinical
trainer for Family Medicine Residents in the training centers.
1998 to 2001 joined the PHC
team in UAE Abu Dhabi as a Family Medicine Specialist where
partially participated in the training of FP residents and
students from Al-ain University and students from Gulf University
-Bahrain.
2001-2003 served as a Director
of Health Academy and a chairman of the technical committee
of CME.
Appointed for two cycles (2001-2005
and 2005-2009) as a vice-president of the Scientific and Exam
Committee of Family Medicine Specialty at the Jordan Medical
Council.
2003 to 2005 held the position of General Director of Medical
Training and Education. In the course of research mentored
more than 10 master degree students in the field of community
medicine also authored or co-authored over 15 peer reviewed
journal papers. A Chief Editor of Jordanian Family Physician
Bulletin and member of the Editorial Board of the Royal Medical
Journal (RMJ).
Currently a Vice-President
of Jordan Society of Family Physicians, and the Jordan Society
of Evidence-Based Medicine Society also a Deputy of Medico-legal
Claims Committee at the Jordanian Medical Syndicate. Since
May 2005 his research and teaching focused on a variety of
topics related to patient's safety and medical errors in Primary
Health Care Settings
In 2005 appointed as a General Director of Cancer Prevention
Directorate at MOH and a member of Steering Committee at MECC.
